The Birth of Jesus
An Original Poem By Ida Malone Jackson

The Lord moved me to write this 12 page story/poem early in the morning on December 13, 2006.I prayed and asked Him to give to me something so that I could use to witness to the children of the prison angel tree ministry and they in turn, could witness to someone in their lives whom they loved.

The words poured from my soul like water coming over a waterfall!I had to leave for work and didn’t finish it, but I felt so anxious and full that I could hardly wait to get back on the computer to continue my writing!I didn’t know what I was going to write, but I knew that the Lord had touched my spirit and I had to move upon what He had given me. I pray that it will be a blessing to whomever reads it as it has been to me.

Excerpt from The Birth of Jesus:

Jesus came to save us from our sins.

How?  You ask.  I’ll tell you.  This is how it all begins.

It started when God created the heavens and the earth a long, long time ago.

Jesus was there when He said let us create man in our own image, give him dominion over all the earth and let him reap and sow.

He named the man Adam and to him he gave a wife.

Adam named her Eve and she was the apple of his eye.

Don’t touch that tree in the middle of the garden, God told him, for surely you will die.

Eve just didn’t understand—please Adam tell me why not? why!

The sly serpent that slithered into the presence of Eve wanted his 15 minutes of fame.

He was the prince of all that was evil, Aka Beelzebub, Lucifer, Satan, and the notorious Devil was his name.
